Duty station:  At the school in Lweza off kigo road, Entebbe Road

Job description

The school provides education services to children in primary section.

Main duties include but not limited to:

  • Heading the primary section.
  • Supervising teachers.
  • Organizing school events including end of term activities.
  • Representing the school in different functions outside the school.
  • Scheming and lesson planning with the teachers.
  • Training of teachers.
  • Preparing home works, class tests and examinations.
  • Benchmarking with other prominent schools.
  • Conducting research for the school.
  • Involved in recruitment of Teachers
  • Any other business as required by management.

Educational level: Degree in education (Minimum)

Other Qualifications: Training in children with learning difficulties is an added advantage.

Preferred skills required:

  • Professional Teacher, Leadership skills, Teamwork, patient, capable of working with minimum supervision, organized, punctual, inspiring, cooperative, God fearing (preferably Christian), eloquent, knowledgeable about jolly phonics etc….

Age: Preferably between 30 and 55 years

Working hours / days: 8 hours/ day and 6 days/ week

Country Sales and Trade Marketing Manager

Duty station: Kampala

Role Purpose

Mange sales, trade marketing and distribution of all company products effectively and efficiently within the country using available resources so as to achieve profitable volume of sales.

Building a strong route to market network and provision of efficient customer service so as to attain sustainable, profitable sales volume growth and to maximize sales opportunities presented in the market for premium products

Direct Sales Representative

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Position scope:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Direct Sales Representative will be responsible for acquisition and growth of sustainable Bank Business, developing new business prospects in specific geographic areas through cold calls. Interacts with existing customers to increase sales of the bank’s products and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Selling Retail Bank products and services in order to ensure sustainable business growth in professional manner.
  • Actively take part in sales activities organized by the Bank in order to acquire business
  • Offer excellent customer experience while interacting with customers on different channels
  • Gather feedback from customers on Bank products and their experience to seek improvement

Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking

Number of positions: Three (3)

Job Summary:

To grow the Bank’s books and maximize profitability by marketing the Bank’s lending products to corporate clients. This will involve ascertaining minimal risk exposure for the Bank and maintaining customer satisfaction through professional relationship building.

Key Duties / Responsibilities and Percentage of time (%)

Business Development (20%)

  • Product development – develop products that meet specific credit needs in liaison with other functions as required. For example, work with Treasury or Trade Services department to develop a product that meets client needs.
  • Marketing – Meeting potential clients to discussing their specific credit needs and possible products available to meet these needs.
    • Growing business through existing clients. This entails assessing the clients business and identifying potential areas for additional business for the Bank aligned to the customer’s business growth.
  • Cross selling – to ensure that each client benefits as much as possible from the diverse range of other products the Bank has to offer.

Credit analysis (30%)

  • Preparing defensible credit proposals that build a case for lending once details have been agreed upon with the client.
  • Review credit proposals initiated by the subordinate staff and amend as necessary to ensure laid out standards are adhered to.
  • Sign off on credit proposals as a signatory and within the delegated authority limits.

Risk management (15%)

  • Carrying out risk assessments at the marketing stage to establish how much risk the bank will be exposed to by taking on a new client.
  • Performing continuous client risk assessment through reviewing documentation such as the monthly operational statement analysis, the “Watch List” report and through consistent monitoring of accounts and periodic operational and financial analysis reports.
  • Consistent monitoring of clients’ accounts to ensure limits are not exceeded and that clients are abiding to agreed upon covenants.
  • Carrying out site visits to clients’ business premises to ascertain that operations are as expected.

Control of facilities disbursement (10%)

  • Following up on all agreed upon requirements necessary to disburse approved credit, these include insurance, security documents and any other covenants with the concerned parties.
  • Drafting the letter of offer for approval by the authorized signatures and following up with the client to ensure this is signed off.
  • Maintaining track of actual credit disbursed to the clients once final approval has been obtained. This will also entail ascertaining that the correct rate of interest is charged and that the credit is disbursed within the agreed time schedule.
  • Following up with the client to ensure that expired guarantees have been cancelled/returned/or renewed, valuations reports have been obtained and land rates paid as necessary.
  • Ensuring that all fees that accrue to the bank have been collected as agreed.

Client relationship management (20%)

  • Responding to any queries by existing and potential Bank customers on the services provided or any other services within the Bank.
  • Ensuring that agreed upon turnaround time for client applications is achieved by following up to ensure flow of documentation.
  • Understanding the clients businesses and developing professional relationship which results in trust.

Staff management (5%)

  • Carrying out day to day supervision of subordinate staff.
  • Carrying out on the job training to self/staff.

Occasional duties:

  • Participate in departmental strategy formulation, review and implementation.
  • Participate in the preparation of regulatory reports as required to the Central Bank of Uganda
  • Carry out performance reviews of staff reporting directly to the jobholder and consistently provide guidance that assists in staff development.
  • Participate in departmental process reviews and appraisals, giving suggestions of ways to improve the process.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a business related course e.g. Economics, Commerce, Finance
  • Basic credit analysis and marketing qualifications.

Related Job Experience/Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Banking of which 2 years should have been spent in a supervisory role.
  • The jobholder will need to have knowledge of various functions within the Bank set up e.g. Operations, Treasury and Deposits.

Hotel Sales Manager

Main purpose of the Job

The Sales Manager is responsible for the hotel’s reactive and proactive sales efforts.

The position provides for day to day leadership to sales associates to achieve hotel sales objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and property revenues.

The Sales Manager implements the Company’s brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel’s sales objectives.

The position evaluates the hotel’s participation in the various sales channels and develops strong working relationships to proactively position and market property.

The sales and Marketing Manager shall manage marketing budgets to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives.

The Sales and Marketing manager develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer profile and property associates.

To specialize in technologically and scientifically advanced products. In other words to sell complex scientific and technological products or services to businesses.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery, in other wards meet sales targets and coordinate project sales
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production

Education and Training: 

A minimum of a diploma is required in any ICT related field. And should be capable to combine technical knowledge of the products or services they are selling with strong interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
