JobConnect Scoops 3 Awards in the Top 100 Mid Size Company 2012

Uganda’s top 100 mid-sized companies have received awards for innovation, resilience and continuous growth. The function that was presided over by Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi took place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday.

JobConnect uganda limited scoopes three awards in the Top 100 Mid firms awards held at Serena Hotel Kampala. Our very own Doreen Mwesigye Scoopes Woman Enterprenuer of the year award.

Mr Mbabazi said Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) were increasingly becoming primary vehicles for employment creation and income generation, continuous supply of skills and innovation that were necessary to promote competition and efficiency in the allocation of scarce resources.
“Many initiatives have been started to help SMEs improve their business and financial management skills as well as to broaden the market and increase financing opportunities,” the Prime Minister said.

He said support from the government, the banking sector and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation was catering for the unique SMEs’ banking requirements and creating linkages between them and large businesses.
