Volunteer at Joy Uganda For the Disabled
As a supervising volunteer which was a part-time role, I carried out mass sensitization campaigns in communities where I enlightened the locals about child-disability and helped to dispel some widely held beliefs about child-disability. Furthermore I encouraged parents of disabled children to adhere to government immunization campaigns which greatly helped to reduce cases of child-disability. I also carried out surveys and collected data on families with disabled children which was submitted to donor agencies. This role also saw me manage broad donor funded projects which entailed monitoring and evaluation functions.
