
Finance and Operations Manager
Ann Grace is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPA- U). She has over 15 years of experience in financial management of Non-Government Organizations’. She was part of the senior Management team in the positions of Regional Finance and Administration Manager at Gorta and Grants and Partner Support Officer at Self Help Africa. Currently she is the Finance and Operations Manager at 7 Seasons Hotel Entebbe where she is exploring private sector accounting to build into her vast experience.
She is one of the founder members of Creative Initiative for Enterprise Development and oversees the operations of the organization, she is also instrumental in projects development and resource mobilization to ensure growth, attracting and retaining a work force that will drive their agenda.
Before joining the ambitious team of Women Entrepreneurs in 2014, Ann Grace worked as a Grants and Partner Support Officer with Self Help Africa an Irish based International Non-Government Organization. In that capacity, she coordinated operations and financial management of 10 implementing partners and 48 Sub Contractees, capacity building, risk management by ensuring effective compliance of internal control, Instituted corporate governance for the implementing partners with keen emphasis on value for money.
Over the years that Ann Grace interacted with the rural community, her passion for rural community development grew stronger. She rediscovered her skill after attending Global Women Leadership training in Uganda in 2013 August, when she realized that she could follow through that passion by engaging women groups and small holder farmers in skills based and income generating activities.
Her leadership role as the Regional Finance and Administrative Manager at Gorta helped her get exposure to other development agencies, build her networking skills and working as a team for the achievement of the organizational goal congruence.
She received her professional qualification as a certified Public Accountant from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda in 2010, and is now finalizing a thesis for the award of Masters in Business Administration at the Uganda Management Institute (UMI)
Ann Grace is passionate about environment conservation which she believes can be made possible by building the capacity of the rural woman towards financial inclusion and leadership. At CIfED she is the focal point person of Atigo central forest reserve restoration Initiative with over 1,500 registered members.
